Fraser found me very amusing this morning (the picture is of him laughing, I have no idea why it is sideways, and am currently too tired to care) which was good because after last night I found him decidedly less so. It wasn't that he got up 5 times between 7:00 and 9:15, that was annoying but I could handle it. What I couldn't handle was his hour long opera audition that lasted from 4 to 5 a.m. His diaper was dry, he adamantly refused his bottle in classic Fraser style (by greedily reaching for his bottle, taking a few nice big swigs, thrusting the bottle away with all his baby might and then spewing formula all over himself) he didn't want to be rocked, he didn't want to play, he basically didn't want to do anything but see how loud he needed to scream and how many times he had to smash his head into my ear before bad mommy of the year held him at arms length and screamed right along with him. I really hope these nighttime tests of Fraser's lung capacity and my patience are a thing of the past by the time Fraser starts retaining and repeating what I say, otherwise my darling boy will be issuing forth a string of obscenities his knowledge of which I might find it hard to blame on the neighborhood children.
