Today Fraser tried rice cereal for the very first time! I say "tried" because to say that he "ate" rice cereal for the first time would be a shameless exaggeration. More like he gave himself a rice cereal facial and then got progressively crankier until we gave him his bottle. Overall, however, I think it was a pretty successful first foray into the world of solid food. Neither his father nor I wore much cereal away from the breakfast table and, although Dharma the dog did have a nice time licking the floor, Fraser's outfit was fairly clean thanks to his adorable homemade bib! (Not homemade by me of course, does it sound like I have time to sew a freaking bib??) So now we'll just try again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next until he figures out that we aren't just shoving strange indigestible substances into his mouth for entertainment value.
