A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! I hope it was an enjoyable and relaxing Sunday for all of you!

On Friday the swing set company came to install Fraser and Hammie's very cool new swing set (which was a birthday and Christmas present for both boys from Grammy Lynn and Grandpa Don). When Fraser saw the swing set for the first time he said "Look! The playground is here!" like the playground was over for play date. When Andy explained that the swing set was a gift for Fraser and Hammie, Fraser said "Oh no, they need to take it back, I don't need all this!" It didn't take him long to warm up to the swing set idea though, and he has already tried out both slides, all four wheels, all the swings and the climbing wall. Hammie has tried everything except the climbing wall, which he is way too small for, and which I am sure he will try soon anyway.

On mother's day I got to spend a fair amount of time weeding out part of my garden, which if not "fun" exactly, at least gave me a few hours of peace and quiet. Then the neighbors had us all over to their family barbecue, which was lots of fun. Andy and the boys played lacrosse (sort of) which was pretty funny. Our neighbor's granddaughter (who is probably about my age, maybe a little younger) was there and she is due with her second child 3 days after I am due. She is, and I am not at all exaggerating, not even half as large as I am right now. I swear this woman was still wearing her regular jeans. Yes, I am aware that I carry very large and my children apparently like to ride way out in front for the entire 9 months, but it still isn't nice to have such a drastic visual reminder that when people eye me warily in the grocery store like an infant could come shooting out of me at any moment, they are pretty much fully justified in that fear.
