So awhile ago the carafe for our 12 cup coffee maker broke, and I resorted to using the old 4 cup coffee maker Andy bought when he was living in his apartment in Cambridge. This actually works out really well since I only have 2 cups of coffee anyway (a mix of full caf and half-calf) and Andy doesn't usually drink coffee before he goes to gym, and on the weekends we use our 12 cup percolator with our "good" coffee. Apparently, however, I am more exhausted than I recently realized, since this morning I got Hammie his fruit salad, started the coffee, got my fruit salad, ate my fruit salad, warmed up a muffin for Hammie, gave the muffin to Hammie, warmed up my muffin and went to pour myself a cup of coffee. There were, however, only 2 cups of coffee in the pot.
Obviously the coffee maker is a bit old, so I thought it must be malfunctioning. I checked the water reservoir, but there wasn't any water left in it. I could have sworn I had put 4 cups of water in, so I tried turning the coffee pot off and then back on in case 2 cups of water were trapped somewhere in the tiny machine. It started making some noises, and so did Hammie, so I went back into the dining room. I walked in to check on Hammie, and there, sitting on the table right infront of my seat, was the cup of coffee I had apparently poured myself and carried into the dining room. Not just a cup of coffee, but a cup of coffee with milk.
So, apparently, I poured myself a cup of coffee, added milk, and carried it into another room and I have NO memory of doing this. This isn't one of those -I saw it and then thought "duh! Oh course I already poured myself a cup!"- I honestly have no memory of the event whatsoever. I am still half expecting Fraser to jump out holding a coffee cup yelling "April Fools!" (which would, in case you are wondering, not be funny at all) I actually have to go the MOMS Club membership circle this morning, and I'm more than a little concerned that I might lose one of the kids and have no clue he is even missing....
