I wanted to quickly put up this post while both boys are napping and let everyone know that Hammie rolled over on his own for the first time today! He rolled from his stomach onto his back and, after the initial shock wore off, he was so proud of himself! I would just chalk it up as a freak occurrence, or the weight of his head getting the best of him, but he actually did it three times! There is no guarantee he will do that again anytime soon, but I think it is very exciting nonetheless.

Today Fraser was so good on the errands we had to run that I decided we could go to Barnes and Noble to play with the train table. I took Hammie out of his car seat and carried him in, knowing I was taking somewhat of a risk since if Fraser went berserk it would be much more difficult to control him while I was holding Hammie. As it turns out I had nothing to worry about. In fact he was so good I let him pick out a book (he chose "Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel.") Not only did he share trains at the train table, he waved "Hi" to one of the other little boys. When I told him it was time to go he immediately put his train back on the table and came with me, he chose one book even though there were two he had a tough him choosing between (the other was a Thomas the Train book), he carried his book all the way to the front of the store, waited patiently on line to pay, gladly handed his book over when I asked for it, and then carried his new book in the shopping bag all the way out to the car.

I don't care if all of that is just his innate personality and it just comes naturally to him to be sweet and cooperative. I was incredibly impressed with him and if they gave out some sort of award for being just a freaking amazing toddler I would nominate him in a heartbeat. (Of course he would probably lose out to that 17 month old they had on the today show who can read, but it would be an honor just to be nominated, even if it was by his mother).
