I really can't believe that it is almost the end of November! I have been meaning to post a new entry for weeks and weeks, but between trying to get ready for Hammie's arrival and trying to get ready for Thanksgiving, pretty much everything else has fallen by the wayside. On the plus side, we had Thanksgiving at our house for the first time, and it was lots of fun, and I think we are almost ready for Hammie's arrival on Friday (well, as ready as we're going to be).
Fraser is doing very well and thoroughly enjoying November. He still loves being outside, as you can see from the shot of him hanging out outside during our first real snow, and he's adjusting fairly well to having the dogs back inside most of the day, though he still does get knocked flat on his face by either Pablo or Dharma at least twice a day. Still, he is perfectly willing to show Dharma s

ome love, and he is usually very good with Pablo (aside from last week when Fraser tried to "ride" Pablo. Pablo didn't appreciate that so he stood up, sending Fraser flying off onto his head. Fraser is still sporting a nice bruise from that adventure).
Fraser's new thing now is running away. Anytime you ask him to do something or tell him you need him to go somewhere, he immediately takes off running and tries to hide. Luckily he isn't really good at hiding since he still seems to be in that "if I can't see you then you can't see me" phase, plus he is laughing like a maniacal elf the whole time, so he's not too hard to locate. On the down side, he still likes to collapse onto the ground when you do catch him, which is making this last bit of my pregnancy very hard on my back. I plan to save this piece of information to pull out (along with the "I spent 28 hours in labor for you" information) when Fraser is being an ungrateful, hideous teenager.

Fraser still doesn't seem to have any idea that Hammie will be arriving, and has totally lost interest in the "what does mommy have in her tummy? Is it a baby?" conversation. I am getting more convinced each day, however, that Fraser isn't going to be overly worked up about his baby brother. This is mostly because between Thanksgiving vacation and the two additional days Andy took off this month, he has been able to spend a lot of time with Fraser. Plus, as simple things like carrying Fraser upstairs to change his diaper have gotten more and more difficult for me, Andy has taken over a lot of the Fraser related duties. The end result is that Fraser is thrilled to pieces to be spending so much time with his dad, and is much more willing to go to Andy when he is upset or hungry or just feels like chat. The flip side of that is that mommy is not quite as indispensable as she used to be. I keep reminding myself that this is a good thing, and there are some days I actually almost believe that.
This last snapshot is Fraser enjoying hanging out in Hammie's car seat before it moved into the car, also before Fraser managed to rock so hard in the seat that he went completely over backwards and landed on his head. Seriously, it's a wonder there is any place at all on his head that isn't bruised.
