Okay, this portion of today's post is especially for my mother who, when I told her Fraser's second haircut ever (which he had on Saturday) was a buzz cut, was absolutely horrified beyond the capacity for speech or rational thought. So, here is a picture of the back of Fraser's head when we went out on our friends' boat after said traumatic haircut, and as you can see Fraser looks perfectly normal and adorable and not like some freakish skinhead. He was less upset by the haircut than his grandmother was, and it does make it easier to clean the food out of his hair after each meal.

Fraser had a great time out on the boat, especially when he got to "drive." I put a video of it below since he was just so thrilled with the experience. Of course he was notably less thrilled when we had to leave and he wasn't allowed to drive the boat once it was actually running.

Fraser achieved an important milestone on Saturday, he finally figured out how to climb up onto the furniture. Woohooo. This means my brilliant childproofing of shoving the ottoman in front of the TV so Fraser can't stick his fingers in the VCR or try to pull the TV over on himself is no longer effective. Also, just because he can climb onto the furniture does not mean he has figured out how to gracefully climb off of the furniture. So far, however, he is still in one piece with only minor rug burns and bruises.

Sunday was also a monumental day in Fraser's life (we had a busy weekend) as his very first cousin was born to Andy's sister Denise and her husband Dustin! Lily arrived a bit early but she and her mother are both doing very very well. We're all looking forward to seeing pictures!

Fraser looks adorable, of course! Congrats on boy number two, they are great in pairs. I promise!

Please pass on our congrats to Denise and family, Lily shares a birthday with Joe. :) It's a great day to be born, from what Joe says.

Have a great day,
Catherine
