Happy 2013!

Happy 2013 everyone! As one of my new year's resolutions this year I have decided to try to start updating this blog again. I had a little time to reflect in peace after Christmas when Andy took the kids to Belgrade to see his parents and I stayed home (Merry Christmas to me!) and I thought about how nice it is to go back and look at all the posts from when the kids were very little and read all the little daily stories that I was too sleep deprived to retain for any period of time. I am at least less sleep deprived now than I was then, but somehow much more busy and stressed, which also seems to interfere with my ability to remember the cute, funny, and amazing things my kids do (an ability which is incredibly important on the days when they are not so much cute or amazing has evil and tiny harbingers of doom).

I have also decided that as part of my resolution to resume this blog I am going to try to take one photo every day to post. I am pretty good about taking photos of the kids, but I also realized that some of my favorite old photos aren't from the holidays or other special occasions, but the photos of a sweet or funny moment that happened on an ordinary day. That does not mean that I will have something to say every single day (I'm not Eleanor after all!) but hopefully this will encourage me to post more than once every 11 months or so!

I am looking forward to a hopefully more relaxing 2013 (at least we aren't planning to move again this year!) and I am hopeful and excited to see what the coming year brings for our entire family. Happy New Year!
