Last night was a very big night for the McBeth family! Fraser and Hammie went to New York with my parents last night for a little "Grandparent Vacation" and spent the night away from Mommy and Daddy! This isn't the first time we have left them with my parents overnight, but it is the first time that they have left while Andy and I stayed at home. It was verrrrry quite here at breakfast. I am glad they are getting some quality time with my parents, and I think it is especially good for Hammie to spend a few days away from me since I am hoping it will make his preschool transition a little easier, but I do miss them and I am already looking forward to when they come home on Wednesday!

Last night was also a very big night for Eleanor (and me!) since for the very first time ever she slept all the way through the night! That's right, she was asleep by 7:45 and I did not hear from her again until almost 6:30!! Woohooo! I would like to say that I am delirious from actually getting an adequate amount of sleep, that getting an entire 8 hours (for me) in a row left me feeling so energetic that I sprang out of bed and went for a run, but sadly 4 and half years of sleep deprivation cannot be undone in a single night, and I think my body is more in shock than anything right now. Still, I can finally see that there is light (or rather dark) at the end of the tunnel.
