Happy New Year! Okay, technically it is still the 31st as I begin typing this, but judging by the way my days have been going lately it is highly unlikely at best that I will finish this before midnight, so I say again, happy 2010!

Let me begin by apologizing for all the missing letters in the last post, and likely in this one too. My computer is possessed by Satan and for some reason it seems to slow down in the middle of my typing and just refuses to acknowledge all the letters that I have pushed. Nice to know I will be starting 2010 thinking that technology sucks as much as I thought it did in 2009.

Yesterday Fraser asked me why dinosaurs don't have ears. (Amazing the way his mind works now.) We talked about how they did have ears, but they didn't look the way our ears do. He asked why and I said "Because that's the way God made them." He said "Oh" paused a moment and said "And who is God?" I ask you now, how am I supposed to answer that??

Hammie has recently morphed into this incredibly thoughtful, sympathetic little guy. He now says "thank you mommy" whenever I do anything for him (which still sound like "gank-q"). When Fraser fell and was crying upstairs this morning Hammie was very concerned and the said "I get dody booboo ish, igh back" (translation: I'll get Fraser a booboo fish (fish shaped ice cube), be right back.") So sweet. Fraser refused to take the fish when Hammie brought it, which I found totally heartbreaking. Fraser did eventually take the fish after much coaxing by me, and after telling Hammie "just put it on the ground by my feet" (we discussed how that is NOT an appropriate thing to say to someone who brings you a present). Hammie also has started wanting to kiss a booboo when I hurt myself, which I think it because Fraser likes to do that too. So sweet :)

Unfortunately our trip to the doctor's office on Tuesday seems have made everyone sick. Runny noses all around and Hammie is coughing like he has a pack-a-day habit. Hopefully the next few days of crummy weather will give us a good excuse for some down time. Always a bright side. Oh, and just a note for posterity, my favorite words the boys are saying now are "Dodos" which is how Hammie says scissors and "Squeezers" which is what Fraser calls tweezers.

Well, Hammie and Eleanor are both asleep and Fraser is asking to watch a movie, so it looks like the down time is moving in (woohoo). Hope everyone enjoys a safe, warm and happy New Year!

P.S. This photo is from my parents from Christmas Eve, the Borzonis and the McBeths. Man that is a lot of kids!!
