Happy (very belated) Fourth of July! We went to Maine for a long weekend which explains these very cute pictures I have to share and also explains why I haven't been on the computer in almost a week. Fraser and Hammie got to spend some quality time with their cousin Lily, which was lots of fun for everyone. I took a cute video of the three of them playing together on the rug but it is too long to put on the blog. It is crazy to think how different the three of them will be by next summer though!
Since we got back we have been experiencing some hideously hot and humid weather. This gave me a good excuse to let the boys play outside naked this morning though, and take some pretty funny pictures. (As you can see from the picture of Fraser he did enjoy some naked time in Maine too.) Fraser has discovered the raspberry bushes in our yard, and is quickly learning the difference between red (yummy!) and green (ewww!). Hammie is not quite as advanced in the color identification field though, and seems to think green grass is just as tasty as brown leaves.
The most exciting news to report right now is that Hammie pulled himself up to standing for the very first time today! It was totally unintentional of course. He was trying to pull over the large bin of toys but, since the bin is heavier than he is, he pulled himself up instead. It was hard to tell who was more shocked by this accomplishment, me or him. Probably him since as soon as he realized what had happened he let go of the bin, fell on his butt and rolled backwards onto his head. So far he hasn't attempted to repeat the experience.

Well, I am off to attempt to put the boys down for their afternoon naps in the only air conditioned rooms in our house. With any luck this will encourage them to sleep a nice looooong time.
