Lately it seems like Fraser never ceases to amaze me. Of course sometimes this is "amaze" in the sense of "how the hell did he get his diaper cover off, by himself, without taking off any of his clothes??" but more often than not it is "amaze" in the positive sense of the word. For example, when Fraser's speech therapist Kim was at the house last Thursday she had Fraser in his highchair doing a watercolor painting. When he was finished Kim asked "Do you want to do more painting or are you all done?" As usual Fraser completely ignored her and started to look around the room, so she repeated her question, "Fraser, do you want to do more or are you all done?" And then, I kid you not, Fraser looked at her and said "All done." Kim and I were both completely shocked and, of course, Fraser didn't make any noises remotely resembling words for the rest of the session (or since then). Still, I was pretty excited! Since then he's really started using his sign for "more" too. It's great to watch, not only because it is nice to know when he really does want more of something, but also because he looks so proud of himself when he can make his wishes understood. Below I posted a video of him at dinner last night asking for more pasta (after some prompting)....
